Member Services

NYACS provides a variety of services and programs for its members to help keep them informed, maximize profitability, reduce costs, access industry contacts and resources, and solve operational problems.

The annual Trade Show and Convention is the biggest NYACS event of the year, attracting retail operators of all sizes and leading C-store suppliers and service providers from throughout the region. The 2019 edition is May 15-16 at the Oncenter in Syracuse.

The annual Fall Conference is an opportunity to examine future trends in the C-store industry, make and renew contacts between retailers and suppliers, and salute vendors for their ongoing support of the association. It does not involve trade show exhibits. This year's Fall Conference is September 25-26, in Buffalo NY.

NYACS members receive a complimentary subscription to our STOREfronts Quarterly newsletter, every issue of which contains a Buyer's Guide featuring free listings of all NYACS Associate Member companies. Members also receive a complimentary subscription to our weekly STOREfronts Online e-bulletin.

NYACS provides a variety of learning opportunities for store owners, managers, and employees throughout the year. Presented as stand-alone seminars or as part of the Trade Show or Fall Conference, they cover topics such as technology, human resources, food service, motor fuel operations, customer service, and compliance issues. In addition, our "Responsible Retailers of New York" program offers state-certified tobacco sales training and alcohol sales training to retail personnel statewide. Plus, NYACS offers state-approved online food safety training that qualifies toward renewal of your 20-C food processing license.

The NYACS Scholarship Foundation annually awards the $2,000 NYACS Emmy Seng Scholarship to a qualified undergraduate student who is an employee, or immediate family member of an employee, of a NYACS member retail, wholesale, or supplier company. Click here for a scholarship application.

NYACS retail members are automatically enrolled as members of the National Association of Tobacco Outlets, a nationwide trade organization representing the retail tobacco industry.
