NYACS led a press conference opposing the proposed 75 percent tax on nicotine pouches, bringing together retailers, wholesalers, law enforcement, faith leaders, and business representatives. Speakers warned the tax would hurt small businesses, reduce sales for compliant New York convenience stores, increase cross border shopping, and drive illicit sales.
